Ft. Knox, Kentucky
Ft. Knox, Kentucky is a prominent installation with progressive range control
and management. In the fall of 2004, RWA was tasked to conduct a detailed
analysis of all training facilities. The analysis and resultant reporting tool made RWA
the logical firm to develop the follow-on RCMP. Here is a synopsis of the efforts for Fort Knox:
- Assessed 50+ training facilities including small arms ranges, mounted firing ranges and specialty ranges
- Developed Range Assessment Database (RAD) reporting tool
- Evaluated each range for conformity with TC 25-8 and applicable field manuals
- Offered recommendations for bringing deficient facilities into compliance with standards
- Provided specialized information technology and connectivity applications
